Scouting their posts told us something else, soldier - the bandits have been hoarding. Stolen grain, powder, plunder, all of it stacked in caches deep in their stronghold. An army marches on its stomach. If we burn those supplies, the whole camp goes hungry and desperate just as we move on their command. Get in among the evokers and lieutenants and put five of their caches to the torch. Watch yourself in there - that's the heart of the camp.

Those supply caches still standing? Every one you leave is another week the bandits can hold out. Burn them - five should break their backs.

Smoke rising over the stronghold - that's the sight I wanted. A hungry bandit is a frightened bandit, and a frightened camp makes mistakes. Between their blinded scouts and their burned stores, the bandits are reeling. Now we cut the head off.
