I spotted a lovely light fixture down in Whispering Hollow, beyond the surviving miners' camp. Black stone, several eyes, tasteful little tentacles. It hummed my name before I introduced myself. Quality craftsmanship. Would you fetch it? The Society believes in reuse. And it would look marvellous beside my chair.

Beautiful! Look, all the eyes follow you. Adjustable lighting! For a moment, every sound in the clearing stops. Something very far below the earth appears to inhale. Orren taps the idol. 'Bit of a rattle. I'll put felt under it.' Take my lucky rock. Things fall into place around it. Usually someone else's place.
