Oh, traveler! Please, a moment of your time! The wolves... they've been getting bolder lately. Every night they creep closer to the village, and just last week they took three of Barnaby's sheep right from his pen. Poor man hasn't slept since. We're simple folk here - farmers and craftsmen, not fighters. But you look like you can handle yourself. If you could venture out and cull some of those gray wolves, maybe it would stall them for a few days. Give us time to reinforce the fences, at least. Kill ten of them, and report back to me. I'll make sure you're properly rewarded for your trouble.

Ten wolves! Oh, thank the spirits! That should keep them at bay for a little while at least. Here, take this. It's not much, but the village scraped together what we could. You've bought us precious time, and we won't forget it. ...Though I must admit, I'm worried this is only a temporary reprieve. The pack seems larger than usual this season.
